In addition to legislative involvement, political advocacy is a major component of the www.Rockport-FultonVotes.com program.
The Rockport-Fulton Chamber of Commerce is committed to providing valuable resources to educate, register, and increase voter turnout. This web site provides a voter education resource that businesses and constituents simply can’t find elsewhere.
The Chamber provides Get-Out-the-Vote materials for your employees and members, including payroll stuffers, posters and collateral to encourage stakeholders to vote. In addition, can alert users to register to vote; request an absentee ballot; research local, state, and federal candidates; locate their polling place; and receive reminders about important voter deadlines.
PAC Web Site
From time to time, the Rockport-Fulton Chamber of Commerce will form Specific Purpose Political Action Committees. The PAC for the year 2009-10 is the Citizens for Community Progress. This PAC’s specific purpose is for the passage of a Venue Tax for Aransas County to build a conference center, visitor center and Aquarium expansion.
