Why: This museum-quality experience tells the remarkable five-year story of community cohesion and nationwide support that sustained Rockport-Fulton on the road to recovery. Whether they experienced it firsthand or through news reports, local residents and visitors alike can enjoy this stirring story of resilience and the restoration of this coastal gem.

Who: Dat Nguyen is a former American football linebacker who played professionally in the National Football League (NFL) for seven seasons with the Dallas Cowboys. He played college football for Texas A&M University, and earned All-American honors. He is the first Vietnamese-American to be drafted, play, and be recognized as an All-Pro in the NFL. In 2017, Nguyen was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame. After the storm, Nguyen was heartbroken for his hometown. He reached out to officials in the community offering his support. Recording this video was one way he could give back to support the people.
