Easter Sunrise Services on the Rockport Beach

Rockport-Fulton, TX (March 8, 2010) – A multi-denominational Easter Sunrise service at The Rockport Beach Park Bandshell will celebrate the resurrection of Christ. This 40 year tradition brings worshipers of all faiths together and culminates in "Affirmations of Faith."

The service, sponsored by the Aransas County Ministerial Association, begins at 7 a.m. with music provided by Rockport’s own Gospel Force. Following the opening hymn, pastors from Presbyterian, Catholic, Baptist, Methodist and Lutheran faiths will each lead portions of  the worship.

The Rockport Beach Park provides an inspiring backdrop for Easter services.

Tommy Shultz designed and built the Bandshell for the community in the 1960s as a venue to host community concerts. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.
