The Rockport-Fulton area is ideally located on SH-35 just 30 miles northeast of Corpus Christi, an approximate three-hour drive from big cities including San Antonio, Austin, Houston, the Rio Grande Valley and approximate 6 hour drive from Dallas-Ft.Worth. The Paws and Taws Convention Center is a local landmark – formerly a dance hall – that offers guests 7,608 sq. ft. of meeting space. On the east side of the facility a large wall of glass windows, and doors, opens onto a large wooden, covered deck that offers a spectacular view of the stunning Aransas Bay. The deck provides an additional 1,488 sq. ft. with an adjoining bar area and alcove seating often utilized as a serving, or reception area.
Facing south, a wall of windows brings into view the lush landscape of Fulton Park as it meets Fulton Harbor, both incredible backdrops for a stimulating meeting, convention or business retreat. The catering kitchen is equipped with a large capacity commercial warming oven and refrigeration unit. The serving area has a large capacity ice maker and a service window.
The Saltwater Pavilion situated on Rockport’s award winning, mile long sandy beach, offers 3,800 sq. ft. of meeting space with flexible seating arrangements for up to 250 people. Located at the north end of Rockport Beach Park, the Saltwater Pavilion offers an unparalleled view of the exclusive Key Allegro island community and the unique salt water lagoon. Nearby, the Beachfront Pavilion has an additional 1,000 sq. ft. overlooking the beach. This facility is ideal for smaller groups and less formal events. The open air veranda with exclusive use of the seating area overlooks Aransas Bay.
All facilities are ADA compliant; provide Wi-Fi connectivity, Wireless Internet and state-of-the-art AV equipment as required. All facilities are non-smoking establishments, smoking is only allowed on the outdoor decks.
