Historical driving, walking tours available on cassettes, compact discs!
Take a step back in Aransas County time and discover the rich history of the area via a newly-developed driving tour on audio cassette and compact disc. The tour is narrated by locals Sue Taylor, author of Aransas County's history book - Aransas: The Life of a Texas Coastal County, and Bobby Jackson, educator at Rockport-Fulton Middle School who teaches Texas History.

The driving tour begins at the James Power historical marker just south of LBJ Causeway.
There is also a walking tour of downtown Rockport. Portable tape players are available for rent for the walking tour at a cost of
$5.00 each, or $5.00 for the driving tour. The tour is approximately one hour long.
All you need to do is stop by the Rockport-Fulton Area Chamber of Commerce's Visitor Center and check out the Historical Driving Tour Tape. When you have finished the tour, simply return it.
The tapes are also available for purchase.
The tour is approximately 60 minutes long depending on how many times you start and stop the tapes.
